Our down south is a land of many cultures and rich heritage. For a fact we knew that it won’t be possible for us to tap on all the cultures with precision. We wanted to create an image of a modern day South Indian bride. And so for that one glorious look we took inspiration from all the cultures in our southern Deccan, picking up different elements from here and there.

  • DÉCOR

A major part of the decoration is flowers, especially marigold. Florets are arranged in intricate patterns along with many other colorful elements to brighten up the wedding.

  • BRIDAL ELEMENTS

Our slender bride is draped in a gold kanjeevaram saree with the reds and the pinks illuminating only the border and the blouse. The aim was to step away from the bold colors that usually the brides wear and instead use elegant and subtle hues for a well-balanced look. With light makeup and a fish braid the bride looks really delicate and the entire looks just flows together. The jewelry she’s wearing are traditional south Indian ornaments consisting of a Maang mala (long haar), a choker with Ganeesha depiction, an Oodiyanam (waistbelt), bangles and a Veni.

  • STYL-INC’s South Indian Bride

Different cultures, different bride but we strived to put together one look which depicts a modern south Indian bride. We took inspiration from everywhere culture down south to create our vision of the elegant and striking south Indian bride.
