We love it when people from two different religions, different cultures come together to spend their lives. It usually results in different and fun ceremonies from both sides which adds up to the fun. But what gets confusing is what to wear. In almost all the other cultures the bride is seen in either a colorful lehenga or saree. Christianity is the only religion in which the bride dons white on the wedding day. But it’s all about finding middle grounds and we’re here to help with this perfect what to wear list of outfits a Christian bride can wear with a Hindi groom!

A white alluring lehenga for the wedding

If you’re marrying a Hindu guy then the silhouette you’ll be most expected to wear will be a lehenga. Lehenga is one of the heaviest pieces and something like Indian bridal lehenga, you may never get a chance to wear again. And there’s no denying how gorgeous a lehenga looks and that even you would be excited to wear one.

Well then girl, go for an ivory lehenga or a pastel one and use your dupatta as a veil. Gone are the days when brides were only seen wearing bright red and pink lehengas. Incorporating white from your culture in the lehenga is one beautiful way of blending both cultures.

An elegant saree with a veil

Saree is yet another masterpiece –  elegant and bold. The best reason for wearing a saree is that it can be draped in a number of ways and have different looks. Well, you can either go for an ivory saree or a colored one and can have a long pallu which will be like a trail. For a Christian bride, a saree with a veil would be the perfect wedding outfit following the Christian culture.

The perfect ivory coordinate set

Coordinate sets are so ruling the market and they are oh-so-pretty. This is the one wedding look that is a little biased towards fashion rather than traditions. If you want to go for some fusion then silver or an ivory coordinate set can do the job well.

The Christian tradition of a gown

This is more appropriate for the reception than the wedding. In love with both of these pieces. The heavily embroidered yet subtle and elegant looking cape gown on the left. And the structured ruffled gown on the right. The embroideries are given a lot of importance in a Hindu wedding and that is something you’ll nail. Plus you can beautifully fulfill the tradition of wearing a gown from Christianity.
