Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas’s Wedding was a Fairytale! Styl-blog | Styl-inc!

The most awaited wedding of the year has finally happened & it surely didn’t disappoint us. Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas are finally man & wife and what a royal affair it was. In typical Indian royalty fashion, the wedding took place in Umaid Bhawan Taj Palace hosting 225 guests. Where multiple ceremonies were to be hosted during the 3-day wedding.

Mehendi/Henna Ceremony

The festivities kick-started on 30th November with Mehendi/Henna ceremony. Where Priyanka wore a beautiful multi-hued traditional vintage ensemble by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla with heirloom jewellery to complete the look­. And Nick wore an aqua bhakiya kurta by the same designer. The wedding weekend was planned by Sandeep Khosla and Aditya Motwane of Motwani Entertainments & Weddings.

Sangeet Ceremony

Later that day Sangeet ceremony took place, which was an extravagant affair. Both the groom’s side & the Bride’s side of friends & family had prepared fully choreographed dance numbers to perform & compete. It was a big musical evening with dancing & performances prepared for just the occasion. Most of the wedding party could be seen in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s outfits.

Which included the Bride, Priyanka who wore a silver & gold sequinned saree; the Groom, Nick wore a midnight silk blue sherwani; The Groomsmen, all the Jonas brothers in Bandhgala Jackets and Sophie Turner wore a red Reichi lehenga.

Wedding Ceremonies

On 1st & 2nd December, they got married in a Christian ceremony which was officiated by Nick’s father & Hindu ceremony which took place on Sunday. On 1st, for the Christian ceremony, the whole wedding party wore Ralph Lauren.

Ralph Lauren said on social media, ‘The bride’s strapless column dress, with a high-neck coat with scalloped sleeves and satin-covered buttons. The embroidery included eight significant words and phrases selected by the bride, including Family, Hope, Compassion.

The groom wore a Purple Label double-breasted tuxedo with a piece of the bride’s dress hand-embroidered with the Urdu words “My Jaan” (meaning “My Life”) at the interior lapel of the jacket, just over his heart. Can it get any more romantic?
The bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, flower girls, and ring bearer were all dressed in Ralph Lauren for the wedding.’ Her tulle veil was 75 feet long giving everyone major Princess goals. Priyanka’s gown included “a piece of her now-mother-in-law Denise Jonas’s lace wedding dress from her 1985 wedding.”

For the Hindu wedding ceremony, they went the traditional way. With Priyanka in a red lehenga with elaborate embroidery on whole outfit & Nick in a hand quilted ivory Sherwani, matching chickan stole & a tissue safa for the turban. Both the outfits & the matching jewellery were made by the Indian Designer Sabyasachi.

He said on his social media that the bride’s lehenga was made by 110 artisans & it took 3,720 hours to make the organza flowers, French-knots & layers of thread work. The jewellery for both was by Sabyasachi as well.

Delhi Reception

The happily married couple then flies down to Delhi for their first Wedding Reception at Taj Palace Hotel on 4th December. And they did not disappoint when they got on stage immaculately dressed once again, eyes full of love for each other. Priyanka bedazzled the ceremony in a silver blush lehenga by Falguni & Shane Peacock & Nick looked dapper in a velvet tuxedo.

Their next reception is in Mumbai. We are eagerly waiting for their next look!
