The ’80s are officially back people! And let’s just say it’s everywhere. From the latest shoulder pad obsession to the ruffle in dresses & sleaves. The trends for 2019-20 are here & they look mind-bending. This fashion week brought back so many memories. With so many trends to choose from we selected the best from the rest.
1. Shoulder Pads/Power Shoulders
One of the biggest fashion trends of 2019 on the runway was a blast from the past. Do you remember all the actresses wearing the OTT shoulders? Yes, they are back & making the rounds on the runway! Giving us an edgy, structured take on it that is modern, severe, and gender-bending.
2. Capes & Cloaks
This is one of the fashion trends which you can definitely add to your wardrobe! From checks to monochrome to long & short, choose your favourite & be the first one to embrace the season’s picks. The winter fashion trends gave us a massive selection of capes and cloaks in so many styles, to permeate the style with a touch of 19th-century romance.
3. Houndstooth Print
This check prints always returns in the fall season. And it doesn’t have to be just black & white.
4. Neon & Monotone Colors
The eye-popping colour trend has fast-tracked its way back into our lives. We saw a lot of fluorescent shades last season all thanks to the Kardashians. Along with monotone, we saw several retro trends re-emerge.
5. Animal Print
Power through your wild side as animal print graces the runway yet again! It’d been with us since the 18th century & is here to stay.
6. Mixed Floral Pattern
Florals are never out of fashion. Same goes for these trends in 2019-20 with flirty & stylish floral dresses. The bigger the better. Coats, capes or dresses
7. Tiered Ruffles
This is giving us some major ’90s vibes! With the cinched waists & multi-tiered ruffle outfits, the grunge is back.
From Pleather to the real deal, it’s available for everyone. Coats, jacket, pants, dresses and even jumpsuits are all trending with the designer wear. Alexander McQueen had the leather dress which was wrapped stylishly like a lush rose that decorated the skirts.
